Beyond Art Announces Tingwei Lin’s Multi-Year Production Partnership with Stilllife
Mr. Lin to Serve as Performing Arts Producer for Three Stilllife Productions in New York City, 2026–2029.
NEW YORK, NY — Beyond Art today announced that its co-founder and producing director, Tingwei Lin, has entered into a multi-year production partnership with Stilllife, the New York-based arts organization whose programming spans interdisciplinary performance, visual art, and chamber music. Over three years, Lin will serve as Performing Arts Producer for three Stilllife productions: “Resonance” (2026), “Frequency” (2027), “Bodyline” (2027), and “Passage” (2029), presented at venues including The Blanc and Green Room 42 in New York City.
The Productions
Lin’s engagement with Stilllife begins with “Resonance” (September–October 2026), an immersive music and visual art series presented at The Blanc in which live chamber music is woven into purpose-built visual art installations. Each concert pairs a performing musician or ensemble with a visual artist whose work is designed to engage in real-time dialogue with the musical program, inviting audiences to move freely through the space and experience the music from multiple vantage points.
In 2027, Lin produces “Frequency,” a contemporary chamber music series presented at Green Room 42 spanning classical repertoire to world premieres by living composers, with a particular focus on contemporary works by Asian and Asian-American artists. The series incorporates pre-concert talks, accessible program notes, and post-concert receptions designed to bring performers into direct dialogue with Stilllife’s collector and arts community.
In 2027, Lin oversees “Bodyline,” a dance and site-specific arts series presented across non-traditional performance environments throughout New York City. The series features original choreographic works developed through close cross-disciplinary collaboration with choreographers, dancers, designers, and technical crews.
Also, in 2029, Lin will produce “Passage” with Stilllife. It is an original interdisciplinary theatrical play. His responsibilities encompass the full spectrum of artistic planning, budgeting, touring logistics, artist management, and technical production for both domestic and international presentations. The production represents the highest level of complexity in Mr. Lin’s portfolio and demonstrates his capacity to lead large-scale, internationally oriented performing arts projects.
What Tingwei Lin Brings to Stilllife
Lin brings to Stilllife a production background rooted in both the Asian and American performing arts landscapes. As a co-founder and producer at Beyond Art — the New York-based nonprofit he established to center emerging and underrepresented artists in interdisciplinary performance — Lin has built and led productions from concept through close, developing deep expertise in artist engagement, technical production, curatorial development, and institutional partnership.
His prior work as a concert producer at Opus Music Arts in Taiwan, where he coordinated over 25 concerts at major national venues including the National Theater and Concert Hall and Weiwuying, gives him a particular fluency in the operational demands of music production at scale. As a fourteen-year erhu performer, he brings to interdisciplinary projects a musician’s understanding of the relationship between artistic intention and production environment. These qualities are directly aligned with Stilllife’s commitment to presenting ambitious, artist-centered work in non-traditional formats.
